this was an unexpected surprise hidden away in the garden! my mother gave me some rhubarb last year which i’m ashamed to say i rather negelcted, however it turns out it was very happy after all! not quite self sufficient just yet, but it will make a nice pudding with some yoghurt!

pilkington hasn’t been spotted for a while, so i attempted to immortalise him using my new sewing machine! it was my first attempt at freehand machine embroidery so hopefully there is scope for improvement… lots of fun though.

the lawn is looking pretty good after its first winter and there are even a few little signs of spring… can’t wait to start planting a few things and spending some time in the garden if the weather ever cheers up!
