dear lord, mr pilkington was practically IN the kitchen this time! i’m surprised he didn’t hop right in and help himself to a knife and fork while he was at it…
gorgeous, simple, elegant hummingbird bookends that will look stunning keeping your books in place and always bring a smile. they’re really good value too - no excuses not to get a pair from www.llustre.com.
loving this colourful paper tape for craft, wrapping or general brightening up of boring objects! get your own from the ever fabulous www.coxandcox.co.uk
people often eye me with deep suspicion when i tell them how much i love living in tooting. i just smile smugly, safe in the knowledge they have clearly never been to the lido! what an absolute gem. i spent a couple of hours up there today and really felt like i was on holiday! in fact the only reason i’m not still up there now is because i didn’t have any sun cream! long may this amazing weather last…
what a great idea for a little diy project for the garden… so simple, yet looks absolutely brilliant! especially in such a vibrant colour.
i’ve been day dreaming recently about getting a pashley bicycle for gliding around tootingshire on. if (when) i do, i am going to have to treat myself to this little beauty from etsy… perfect for those summer afternoons when you pop over to see a friend and want to take a little something to share in the sunshine! inspired!
well hello lady lavinia the luscious ladybird… aren’t you beautiful and exotic! what a nice surprise to return from work to discover lady lavinia lolling around on the lavender! and very exciting to see the lavender looking so gorgeous too, despite the recent lack of sunshine. do i detect a faint whiff of summer?
i saw a tea light chandelier like this years ago and could never find one in the shops so i was delighted to spot this on www.paleandinteresting.com. it would be so gorgeous on the patio to provide some romantic lighting on summer evenings, or equally pretty over a free standing bath tub for those nights when you need a nice, long soak.
who killed mr courgette?! oh dear, i think he’s an ex-courgette… perhaps he went on hunger strike in protest over the lack of sunshine in april and may!
tiny bit obsessed with these divine bird placemats. going on the wishlist, although i’m slightly disappointed there are only three different images as it would mean a bit of duplication in a set of 12… still adorable though!

cycling down the wandle trail this morning i just couldn’t resist stopping and gathering a few wild flowers in my bicycle basket… the whole trail was just bursting with life and colour and the variety of flowers (and weeds!) was just amazing. now we can enjoy them all weekend as they brighten up the flat, and it didn’t cost a penny!
