latest sewing project is a collaboration with my mother to produce some bunting for their ruby wedding anniversary party. This is one of the fabrics that made it through the rigorous selection process! pictures of the finished product will follow in due course…
throwing a little baby shower for my big sister and i’m rather proud of how the invites turned out. it’s surprisingly easy to sew onto card and only took a few scraps of fabric to make the triangles for the bunting. will definitely be experimenting with different designs for cards to send to friends.
thank you mrs armstrong for my wonderful fabric, hand imported from china no less! i cannot wait to get creative and make some lovely things with it. i especially love the florals and ginghams together, could be the perfect combination for some vintage feel bunting for the new garden when we move…
we have frieinds coming over tomorrow, so if this heatwave continues i might just have to dust off the bunting for one last outing in 2011. i made this for our royal wedding party back in april and it didn’t cost a penny. the red triangles were made from some scraps of left over cath kidston fabric, the white ones were an old sheet, and the blue ones all came out of one shirt (don’t tell the husband). god save the queen!
