i’ve been trying to track one of these down for a while and now the white company has started stocking these great picture shelves. Good for small rooms where there isn’t space for a big bookshelf and also handy for indecisive people like me as you can move your pictures around as often as you like!
being a very, very proud aunty to my gorgeous new neice clemmie has given me the perfect excuse for a few little sewing projects! number one was a cushion for her nursery…
make baking even more fun with these adorable bird cup measures. they’ll look great out on the worktop too when you’re not using them.

nudge, nudge husband… pop this on the birthday list please! or maybe for a little ‘diamond jubilee’ present or a housewarming token. i don’t really mind what the occasion is!

a little bit besotted with this quail’s egg box frame. so simple and beautiful and the colours and textures of the eggs are just stunning set against the clean mount and frame.

slightly grainy image from her iphone, but i am seriously impressed by my sister’s green fingered-ness! i gave her an amaryllis bulb in january and already it has produced these amazing flowers and there is another shoot on the way too. it never fails to amaze me that something so stunning can materialise from a little gnarled bulb, it really is like a magic trick! definitely one of my favourite flowers and a sure sign that we are leaving winter behind us…
i finally succumbed to the pressure and joined the husband on a little geocaching expedition yesterday afternoon. of course my enthusiasm had nothing to do with the glorious february sunshine and the prospect of a bike ride along the wandle trail… i was amazed at how many beautiful flowers had already sprung into bloom after the unseasonally mild few days we’ve just experienced. there were daffodils, crocuses and snow drops galore as well as lots of wildlife including a busy little chap out collecting nectar. wow - it really feels like spring is finally on its way!
thank you to the nicols and maxwells for my gorgous tulips. not only are they my absolute favourite flowers they are also very fitting for this amazing sunny late february weekend. it really feels like spring is just around the corner now!
the white company never fails to deliver and this simple, white carafe is typically stylish and functional. definitley on the wish list for the new kitchen…
